2000 - Season highlighted by first Tour singles title at Tashkent (d. Schiavone in final) and runner-up finish at Shanghai (d. No.2 seed Dokic en route; l. to Shaughnessy); afterwards on October 23, broke into Top 100 (at No.78); 2r twice, incl. US Open (Grand Slam main draw debut; l. to Testud), 1r six times (incl. Olympics) and fell in qualifying six times (incl. other three majors); also first Tour doubles title at Knokke-Heist (w/Casoni), and notched two runner-up finishes.

2001 - Year highlighted by 10-match, two-tournament streak, at Vienna (d. Dementieva after trailing 4-1 third set en route to final, then d. Schnyder) and Knokke-Heist (d. top seed Clijsters 60 64 en route to final, then d. Leon Garcia; win over world No.6 Clijsters was career-first Top 10 victory); SF twice, at 's-Hertogenbosch (d. Dementieva en route, falling to Henin-Hardenne) and Linz (d. Henin-Hardenne en route, falling to Dokic in 3s; win over world No.6 Henin-Hardenne was second career Top 10 victory); QF twice, at Strasbourg (d. Pierce; l. to Farina Elia) and Tashkent (l. to Torrens Valero); 3r twice, at Miami (l. to S.Williams; second fastest serve of year at 119mph) and Wimbledon (l. to Tauziat); 2r at US Open, 1r at Australian Open, Roland Garros; first alternate for season-ending Championships; one of five players to d. Clijsters and Henin-Hardenne in 2001 (also Capriati, Davenport, V.Williams and S.Williams), and first Top 20 year-end finish (at No.20, up 55 spots from previous year-end); Tour doubles titles at Strasbourg (w/Farina Elia) and Pattaya City (w/Svensson).

2002 - Season highlighted by runner-up finish at Vienna (l. to Smashnova), 4r at Miami (l. to Capriati in 3s) and 3r four times, incl. Australian Open, Roland Garros; on June 17, moved to career-high of No.16; three Tour doubles SF showings; won womenÆs singles gold medal at Asian Games (d. Tanasugarn in final).

2003 - One-time runner-up, at Hyderabad (l. to Tanasugarn) and one SF at Madrid (l. to Rubin); QF three other times, at Dubai (l. to Seles), Berlin (d. Dokic; l. to Mauresmo) and 's-Hertogenbosch (l. to Rittner); 4r at Miami (l. to S.Williams) and 3r at Wimbledon (l. to Zvonareva); 2r four times, incl. Australian Open (l. to Davenport 75 third set); won doubles title at Hyderabad (w/Likhovtseva); after Sopot in late July, withdrew from all events the rest of the year to recover from right elbow injury that had been operated on late in 2002.

2004 - Withdrew from Doha, Budapest and Roland Garros with right elbow injury; as an unranked Tashkent WC, stunned world No.38 (top seed) Bartoli 64 64 in 1r (l. 2r to An.Serra Zanetti).

2005 - Reached 2r at Tashkent, having not contested a Tour main draw since same event a year before (as qualifier, d. Savchuk in 1r before falling to An.Serra Zanetti in 3s); fell in Dubai qualifying; played some ITF Circuit events, reaching one SF and one QF.

2006 - Made impressive runs in only two Tour events of year, reaching SF at Kolkata (as qualifier; l. to Poutchkova) and finishing runner-up at Tashkent (as WC; d. No.5 seed Yakimova and No.6 seed Poutchkova en route to final, falling to T.Sun; now 3-4 lifetime in Tour singles finals); cut ranking by over half during that stretch, going into Kolkata at No.342 and coming out of Tashkent at No.158; played rest of season on ITF Circuit.

2007 - Played three Tour main draws (all as WC), falling 1r at Australian Open (l. to WC Adamczak), Miami (ret. vs. qualifier Poutchek) and Tashkent (l. to No.7 seed Poutchkova); fell in Tour qualifying eight times (incl. other three Grand Slams); played rest of season on ITF Circuit.
