Currently without a coach ... Mother's name is Gala, father's name is Oleg; introduced to tennis at age 7 by mother, who loved the sport ... Lived and trained in Yugoslavia, Spain and France (which is why she is fluent in Russian, Yugoslav, English and Spanish; she is now improving her French) ... Currently living with mother, brother Brian and dog Wilson ... Loves children, reading and writing; favorite writers are CS Lewis, Oswald Chambers and Jody Picoult ... Loves anything that involves tennis ... With her experiences of training in different countries, plans on creating a tennis academy for young players in the future.

MARCH - Played on ITF Circuit.

APRIL - Played on ITF Circuit.
1998 - Played first events of career on ITF Circuit in Spain, winning one singles title.

1999 - Played first Tour qualifying at Madrid; also played on ITF Circuit.

2000 - Played first Tour main draw at Sopot, falling 1r (as qualifier); fell in Tour qualifying four times.

2001 - Reached 2r twice; fell 1r three times and in Tour qualifying eight times (incl. Australian Open, Wimbledon, US Open); had first Top 20 win at Pattaya City (No.20 Tulyaganova).

2002 - Reached 2r once; fell 1r four times and in Tour qualifying six times (incl. Roland Garros, Wimbledon); fractured bone in left hand from fall at Barcelona home in June and two days later broke right hand from fall in practice, then strained abdominal muscle and missed six months; won two singles titles on ITF Circuit at end of season.

2003 - First Top 100 season (ending at No.73); reached 3r once (Roland Garros) and 2r twice (incl. US Open); fell 1r five times (incl. Wimbledon) and in Tour qualifying 15 times (incl. Australian Open); made Top 100 debut on June 16 (rose from No.101 to No.98); won one singles title on ITF Circuit.

2004 - Reached SF at Canberra (l. to Farina Elia); QF at Acapulco; reached 2r five times (incl. Australian Open, US Open); fell 1r 11 times (incl. other two majors) and in Tour qualifying three times.

2005 - Reached 2r three times (incl. Wimbledon); fell in Tour qualifying three times; from August, took indefinite break from tennis (would last until March 2006).

2006 - Reached 3r twice (incl. Roland Garros) and 2r twice; fell 1r at Wimbledon (ret. w/abdominal pain; would be last event of year).
