FEBRUARY - Contesting first Tour main draw since September 2004 (Bali), fell 1r at Bangalore (l. to eventual quarterfinalist Pin).

APRIL - Went 0-2 during Indonesia's 4-0 Fed Cup World Group II loss to China.

MAY - At Rabat, fell 1r in singles (l. to No.3 seed Loit) but reached 13th career Tour doubles SF (w/Sromova); fell 1r at Istanbul (as qualifier, l. to Yakimova).

SEPTEMBER - Impressive week at Bali, winning first Tour singles main draw match since before 2004 knee surgery in reaching 2r (as WC, d. Rao in 1r; l. to Czink) and reaching doubles SF (w/Vento-Kabchi); another solid week at Kolkata, reaching singles 2r (l. to Brianti in 3s) and another doubles SF (w/Sromova); at Seoul, reached singles 2r (as WC, l. to Ruano Pascual) and doubles SF (w/Vento-Kabchi).
1999 - Debuted on ITF Circuit at two events in Indonesia, reaching one QF

2000 - At six ITF Circuit events, reached one SF and three QF; won back-to-back ITF Circuit doubles titles (career firsts)

2001 - Tour debut at Bali as a WC, becoming the youngest player to win a tournament all season, at age 16 years, eight months, 18 days; saved 2 mp to d. No. 2 seed Tanasugarn in QF and received a standing ovation after her two-hour, 57-minute SF win over Su-Wei Hsieh; came back from down 2-5, 0-40 to save four set points in second set against Kruger in final; became sixth player to win her debut Tour event and first since 1999 (Henin at Antwerp); was lowest-ranked player ever to win a Tour title at No. 579 (not incl. players who were unranked, like Lucic-1997 Bol, Seles-1989 Houston, Purdy-1983 Pittsburgh, Jaeger-1980 Las Vegas, Austin-1977 Portland, Goolagong-1977 [Dec.] Australian Open, Shriver-1978 Columbus); next lowest ranked is probably No. 205 Okamoto at 1989 Tokyo [Japan Open]; after winning title, ranking jumped to No. 151; appeared in five ITF Circuit events and reached one final; won third ITF Circuit doubles title
