Held at the Autotron Rosmalen exhibition complex in southern Netherlands about 7 km east of 's-Hertogenbosch, the Topshelf Open serves as the last chance for many players to get their grass court work in, with Wimbledon the following week. Launched as an ATP tournament in 1990, it became a joint event in 1996.
Champions include Martina Hingis, Kim Clijsters, Mary Pierce and two-time titlist Justine Henin, who won the last of her 43 titles here in 2010. The lone Dutch winner was Michaella Krajicek in 2006.
