The details are a little private for now, but Maria Kirilenko - a former World No.10 and three-time Grand Slam quarterfinalist - has announced via Twitter and Instagram she got married Saturday.

Maria Sharapova, a childhood friend of Kirilenko's, was asked whether she heard about it on Sunday.

"I did actually," Sharapova said. "I'm not sure to who - but it's wonderful actually."

When there was laughter from the press, and they told her it seemed like nobody knew who the lucky guy is, the always classy, always charismatic Sharapova's sense of humor shone through.

"What happens in Russia stays in Russia," Sharapova said, drawing more laughter.
