TORONTO, Canada - Of the 21 players who have risen to No.1 on the WTA Rankings, there's only one date where lightning struck twice: August 11, in 2003 then in 2008. Which two players are they?

Kim Clijsters and Jelena Jankovic are the two players who rose to World No.1 on August 11.

Clijsters was the first to do it, on August 11, 2003. She was actually in Toronto for the presentation.

Jankovic was the second player to rise to No.1 on August 11, five years later in 2008. The charismatic Serb wasn't in Canada though - she was halfway across the world competing at the Beijing Olympics.
