NEW HAVEN, CT, USA - Caroline Garcia is the latest WTA star to add her name to the outstanding player field at the 2018 Connecticut Open, joining two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova, Julia Goerges and more, the tournament announced today.

“New Haven is such a fantastic place to prepare for the US Open,” said French No.1 Garcia. “I have played there many times in the past and always enjoy the tournament atmosphere, the support of the fans and the great competition that the strong draw provides. I have played well there in the past so I hope to be able to build on that this year.”

The field at New Haven, a US Open Series event set to take place August 17-25, also features 2016 winner Agnieszka Radwanska, last year’s finalist Dominika Cibulkova, British No.1 Johanna Konta, as well as Ekaterina Makarova, Daria Kasatkina, Kiki Bertens, Mihaela Buzarnescu, Ashleigh Barty and more. On-the-rise American Danielle Collins has been awarded a wildcard.
