Petra Kvitova has won five of the six previous encounters with Magdalena Rybarikova, including their most recent meeting, in the New Haven final four years ago. The Czech won each of their first four matches, in Prague, Prerov and Valasske Mezirici in 2007 and in Poiters in 2010, before Rybarikova prevailed in Prague the following year.

The Nature Valley Classic final features a Czech player for the fifth consecutive year - Petra Kvitova hoping to retain the title she won in 2017 following losses for Barbora Strycova (2014 and 2016) and Karolina Pliskova (2015).

The last Slovakian winner of the Nature Valley Classic came five years ago, Daniela Hantuchova beating Donna Vekic in straight sets. Replicating her compatriot would also make Magdalena Rybarikova the first unseeded player to take the title since Hantuchova's 2013 success.

Petra Kvitova's semifinal win over Mihaela Buzarnescu on Saturday took her to 36 match wins in 2018 - more than any other player.

Magdalena Rybarikova is taking part in her first final of 2018, while Petra Kvitova is competing in her fifth, having already won in St. Petersburg, Doha, Prague and Madrid this year.

Both finalists have previously won the Nature Valley Classic, Magdalena Rybarikova triumphing in 2009 and Petra Kvitova claiming the trophy last summer.

Magdalena Rybarikova has won four of her seven previous finals, while Petra Kvitova holds a 24-7 success rate.

Anastasija Sevastova takes part in her third consecutive Mallorca Open final, hoping to repeat her 2017 victory over Julia Goerges rather than her defeat to Caroline Garcia at the same venue 12 months earlier.

The last German to make the final in Mallorca was Julia Goerges last year, who lost to Anastasija Sevastova in three sets.

Tatjana Maria has met Anastasija Sevastova once before, losing in straight sets on clay in Marseille three years ago.

Anastasija Sevastova is through to her first final of 2018, following defeats in the semifinals in both Charleston and Brisbane, while Tatjana Maria has made it past the last 16 for the first time this year.
