The stars of the WTA went back to the 1990s this week - and some of them coped better than others!

They got to try out some throwback tech - that is, if they understood what it was for.

Rotary phones were instantly recognisable; as Daria Kasatkina said, "It's just a phone!"

Anett Kontaveit didn't have one herself, but knew someone who did, saying, "My grandmother had one of those!"

A Walkman was a little less straightforward, with plenty of the stars struggling to figure out how it worked.

Jelena Ostapenko knew what it was, though, explaining: "It's how people used to listen to music - many years ago."

The Tamagotchi - the fad toy of the 1990s - was a familiar friend to some, with Caroline Garcia confessing that she used to give hers to her mom to take care of while she was on court - although Simona Halep initially thought the small piece of electronic wizardry was a pager.
