Kiki Bertens is hoping to reach her fourth final of the year, having also reached the finale in Madrid, St. Petersburg and 's-Hertogenbosch.
Paula Badosa has already made the final of ITF events in Burnie, Les Franqueses Del Valles and Essen this year.
Top seed Bertens was taken to three sets by Jasmine Paolini in the last eight, whereas Badosa has yet to be taken the distance.
Jil Teichmann hopes to add to her Prague Open title from May this year and also won an ITF tournament in Santa Margherita.
Teichmann won the only previous meeting with Liudmilla Samsonova, taking the honors in straight sets in Rome last year.
Bertens and Badosa are meeting for the first time.
Samsonova was taken to three sets by Fiona Ferro in the last eight, whereas Teichmann has yet to be taken the distance.
