MATCH POINTS

Anastasia Potapova has won back-to-back main draw victories this week for the first time since she reached the semifinals in Budapest.

Patricia Maria Tig has reached quarterfinals in successive weeks, having made the last eight in Bucharest last week. She had only three such runs in her career previously.

Potapova defeated Tig in their only previous meeting; a qualifying match at Wimbledon in 2017.

Chloe Paquet had never won a set against Caroline Garcia before coming from one down to knock out her compatriot in the previous round.

This will be Paquet’s first match against Katarzyna Kawa.

Anastasija Sevastova is seeking to reach just her second semifinal of 2019. In 2018, she managed seven.

Irina Bara will play her first WTA Tour quarterfinal.

Sevastova defeated Bara in their only previous meeting, in the Moscow International last year, 6-2, 6-7(5), 6-4.

Bernarda Pera is bidding for her second semifinal in as many weeks; she reached the last four in Lausanne last time out.

Nina Stojanovic has won her last seven singles matches, having picked up an ITF title in Versmold.
