MATCH POINTS

Kiki Bertens has won all three of her previous matches with Alison Riske. The Dutchwoman prevailed at this year's Australian Open following previous wins in Toronto six years ago and Nürnberg in 2017.

Riske is aiming for a second title in two weeks, following her victory in the ITF event at Surbiton last weekend. The American also made the final in Shenzhen this year, losing out to Aryna Sabalenka.

Riske's only previous WTA title came in Tianjin five years ago.

Bertens is seeking her third title of 2019, after previous successes in St. Petersburg and Madrid this year.

Victory would make her the first Dutch winner of the event in 13 years, since Michaëlla Krajicek prevailed over Dinara Safina.

The last American victor was three years ago, CoCo Vandeweghe taking her second crown in three years.

The home favorite is yet to drop a set at the tournament this week, while Riske was taken the distance by both Karolína Muchová in the first round and Veronika Kudermetova in the semifinal.

Last year's final was the first since 2011 to go the distance.
