A first-time title-winner in April, Maria Sakkari earned your votes to edge a tight race for April's Breakthrough Player of the Month.

The Greek edges out fellow first-time champions Jil Teichmann and Amanda Anisimova, as well as Prague runner-up Karolina Muchova, who reached her first WTA final.

Sakkari won the Grand Prix De SAR La Princesse Lalla Meryem in Rabat, coming from a set and a break down to defeat Johanna Konta in the final.

Greece's No.1 hadn't dropped a set en route to the final, defeating Olga Danilovic, Isabella Shinikova, defending champion and top seed Elise Mertens and another Belgian in Alison van Uytvanck en route to the championship match.
