DOUBLES FINAL -- 3:00pm start
Ekaterina ALEXANDROVA (RUS) / Vera ZVONAREVA (RUS) vs. Fanny STOLLAR (HUN) / Heather WATSON (GBR)
SINGLES FINAL -- Not before 5:00pm
Alison VAN UYTVANCK (BEL) vs. Marketa VONDROUSOVA (CZE)
Marketa Vondrousova won her only previous match against Alison van Uytvanck, at a Challenger event in Trnava, Slovakia in 2017, on clay. Vondrousova won that match 6-4, 6-3.
Top seed van Uytvanck is up to nine consecutive wins at Budapest following her semifinal escape past No.5 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova of Russia. In last year's Budapest final, van Uytvanck defeated Dominika Cibulkova for her second and most recent WTA singles title.
Van Uytvanck seeks her third WTA singles title. She is 2-0 in WTA finals, having defeated Timea Babos to win the Quebec City championship in 2017 for her first-ever trophy.
Vondrousova is also undefeated in WTA finals. She won her only previous final, beating Anett Kontaveit to win in Biel in 2017.
This is only the second tournament of the year for Vondrousova. The 19-year-old defeated Evgeniya Rodina in the first round of the Australian Open before falling to Petra Martic in her next match.
Van Uytvanck had a 2-5 win-loss record coming into Budapest, and had not reached a quarterfinal on the season before her run this week.
Hungary's Fanny Stollar will aim to defend her doubles title in her home country, as she pairs with Heather Watson to take on the all-Russian duo of Ekaterina Alexandrova and Vera Zvonareva in the doubles final. Stollar won the title last year partnering Georgina García Pérez.
