MATCH POINTS

The weather forecast for today is poor, with scattered thunderstorms predicted as well as frequent rain showers. It should brighten up a little by the evening session.

Bertens is the defending Cincinnati champion, beating Simona Halep 2-6, 7-6(6), 6-2 in last year's final.

Diyas has played Serena Williams three times and lost all three.

Muguruza was the champion in Cincinnati in 2017 - and saved three match points against Keys en route to that title.

Azarenka is another former champion, lifting the trophy in 2013. She has only played Bencic once before, though; that was in the fourth round of Wimbledon in 2015, and she came out on top, 6-2, 6-3.

Kerber was the 2016 runner-up, losing in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 to Karolina Pliskova in the final.
