Caroline Wozniacki and Aryna Sabalenka are meeting for the first time.

Caroline Wozniacki is attempting to win her 29th career title - and first since claiming the Australian Open earlier this year.

Aryna Sabalenka is hoping to win her first title, competing in her first final since losing in Lugano earlier this year.

Aryna Sabalenka is the third Belarusian to take part in the Eastbourne final. The 20-year-old hopes to emulate compatriot Natasha Zvereva, who beat Nathalie Tauziat in three sets to take the 1999 event, while Victoria Azarenka lost to Ekaterina Makarova in 2010.

All five of Aryna Sabalenka's victories at Eastbourne this week have come over three sets. The Belarusian has won 15 three-set matches this year, behind only Petra Kvitova [16].

Caroline Wozniacki is taking part in her third Eastbourne final, having previously won the event in 2009 [beating Virginie Razzano] and lost the final last year [to Karolina Pliskova].

The last five Eastbourne finals have been won by the winner of the first set. Tamira Paszek, in 2010 was the last player to come from behind and win the tournament, the Austrian beating Angelique Kerber in 2012 over three sets.

Seven of the last 12 Eastbourne finals have gone to three sets, although both of Caroline Wozniacki's previous finals at the event were decided in two sets.
