Karolina Pliskova brought out some big names in Czech sport to celebrate the launch of her new charitable foundation, the Karolina Pliskova Endowment Fund.
The kick-off event featured a kid’s clinic led by Karolina, a celebrity doubles face-off with big names in Czech sport, and dozens of kid-friendly activities.
Also in attendance, retired Czech cross-country skier and Olympic gold medalist Katerina Neumannova attended with her daughter and gave tennis a try, pairing up with Karolina in a doubles matchup against Karol Kisel (retired Slovak soccer player) and Petra Navratilova (Czech junior tennis player) as Czech TV presenter Michal Hrdlicka served as emcee.
The foundation raised 200,000 Czech korunas for the Pediatric Oncology Department at the Motol University Hospital, the largest medical facility in the Czech Republic and one of the largest in Europe.
After the event, Dr. Jan Stary, head of Motol’s pediatric department, was on hand to accept the check.
