Petra Kvitova has announced that she will be flying to Paris ahead of the start of next week's French Open.
The former World No.2 wrote on social media: "Hi guys, I have some news. I will be flying to Roland Garros this evening and taking part in a press conference on site at 2:30pm local time on Friday. Keep everything crossed for me that I will be able to play there!"
The two-time Wimbledon champion had revealed earlier in the week that she is "on track" to play at SW19 this summer.
She has been absent from the WTA since she was attacked by an intruder in December 2016, sustaining knife injuries to her left hand which required four hours of surgery.
