MATCH POINTS

Belinda Bencic leads her head-to-head with Angelique Kerber 3-2. Bencic won their first three meetings between 2014 and 2016, before Kerber won their initial encounter on grass, in the fourth round of Wimbledon last year, en route to Kerber's third Grand Slam title.

Kerber notched her second win over Bencic in the semifinals of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells earlier this year, ending a 12-match winning streak for Bencic. Kerber would go on to finish as runner-up to Bianca Andreescu at that event.

This will be the first meeting between Anastasija Sevastova and Sofia Kenin. Kenin has reached the semifinals at Mallorca for the second straight year -- last year she made the final four as a qualifier ranked World No.91.

Anastasija Sevastova is an outstanding 16-2 at the Mallorca Open. The Latvian won the title in 2017 (defeating Julia Goerges in the final) and reached the final in her other two appearances, in 2016 (lost to Caroline Garcia) and 2018 (lost to Tatjana Maria).
