KEY FACTS

Julia Goerges is through to the quarterfinals of the singles competition already, having beaten Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in straight sets.

This will be only the second time Lepchenko and Sevastova have clashed - after their initial meeting on a hard court seven years ago in Miami. The American won that one after Sevastova retired.

Cepelova and Garcia have not played each other before; nor have Konjuh and Azarenka.

Vinci and Flipkens have met three times in the last 13 years - once on clay, once on grass, once on a hard court. The Belgian leads the head-to-head 2-1.
