Yulia Putintseva and Tamara Zidansek are both playing for their first-ever WTA singles title at the Nurnberger Versicherungscup on Saturday.

No.1 seed Putintseva has reached two previous WTA finals. She made her first final at the Premier event in St. Petersburg in 2017, which she lost to Kristina Mladenovic. She followed up with a second final in Guangzhou last year, where she fell to Wang Qiang. This is her first clay-court final.

This is Zidansek's first WTA singles final. She won the WTA 125K Series event at Bol last year on clay for her biggest career title to date, defeating Magda Linette in the final.

Dabrowski and Xu have each won four additional WTA doubles titles with other partners during their careers.

Sharon Fichman and Nicole Melichar are into their first final as a team. Melichar has won four other WTA doubles titles in her career, while Fichman is seeking her second WTA doubles title.
