After Grand Slam months, as was September with the US Open, we tend to have a lull in tennis fashion, but Nike never sleeps and EleVen managed to stand out this October with Venus Williams' successes and separates that we hadn't seen in action the previous month, while players representing other major brands simply continued to wear outfits launched in New York, that we had already featured in past fashion overviews.

Wearing tops and skirts from her EleVen Kaleidoscope collection, which had been released ahead of the US Open, Venus Williams won her biggest title in more than five years at the Premier 5-level Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open and clinched her 700th career match win during the tournament.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion paired printed skirts from the collection with the classic V-neck Kaleidoscope Love Tank, either in color blue knights or in wedgewood, featuring contrast in the neckline and built-in bra. Williams' alternative look included a solid pleated skirt and the EleVen Kaleidoscope Tie It Up Tank with cute printed tie on back.

Maria Sharapova

Nike was the most prolific brand in October, launching a wide variety of styles in its winter releases. Maria Sharapova's black and white US Open dress, which she actually launched in Wuhan, made our list of September fashion favorites, but even though it was alive for just 2 hours and 42 minutes, as that's how much the Russian's single match in the Chinese city lasted, the five-time Grand Slam champion prepared something new for us for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore. Sharapova successfully fought her way through the round-robin stage of the tournament in the copa Nike Winter Premier Maria Tank, featuring mesh back panel for ventilation and thin adjustable straps as stylish accents, while the matching skort has flirty pleats that also have perforated material for maximum breathability.

Petra Kvitova, Lucie Safarova

Petra Kvitova and Lucie Safarova both battled in Singapore in the white Nike Slam Breathe Tank with purple dusk binding and the Nike Winter Victory Breathe Skirt. This is a standard, functional tennis look, nicely finished with these Nike Zoom Vapor 9.5 Tour Shoes, focused on quick and stable ride.

Nike's new winter collection includes a complete range of items, including shorts, and who else wears them better than Victoria Azarenka. Before succumbing to a left leg injury, Azarenka looked confident in the all-purple outfit, consisting of the already-mentioned Nike Winter Slam Breathe Tank and the Nike Winter Court Short.

Thumbs up for Nike for making sure we have a great range of styles to choose from this winter, as all these outfits exist in many other colors as well.
