New WTA World No.1 Ashleigh Barty has stretched her lead at the top of the Porsche Race to Shenzhen leaderboard thanks to her victory at the Nature Valley Classic in Birmingham.

The Australian overcame Julia Goerges in the final of the event, scooping up another 470 points in the ranking, which measures performance over the calendar year.

Barty, who has now won her last 12 matches on Tour, extended her advantage over Petra Kvitova, who sits second on the Grid, to 1120 points.

Otherwise, there was little significant movement in the Top 8, which is still rounded out by Simona Halep, who still enjoys a healthy cushion over Johanna Konta, the player who leads the chasing pack.

It has been a good week for American players jostling for position in this group, with Amanda Anisimova and Sofia Kenin both moving up the Grid, while Danielle Collins has also moved back into the Top 20.
