Cincinnati champion Garbiñe Muguruza supplanted Elina Svitolina at the top spot of the Porsche Race to Singapore on Monday, on the back of her second title of the season at the Western & Southern Open.

With 5,068 points, Muguruza now sits 53 points ahead of Simona Halep for the top spot, as her scintillating summer continued in Cincinnati. The Spaniard has vaulted up the Race in recent weeks, as she was outside the Top 10 prior to the year's third Grand Slam.

In the four tournaments since, Muguruza has not lost before the quarterfinals, winning her second major title at the All England Club, reaching the semifinals at the Bank of the West Classic, and the quarterfinals at the Rogers Cup.

While Cincinnati runner-up Halep stays firm in the No.2 spot, Rogers Cup champion Svitolina now sits at No.3, with the rest of the top eight remaining unchanged.
