With the Top 8 unchanged after last week, the WTA’s Asian Swing kicks into high gear at the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, the Korea Open in Seoul, and the Guangzhou Open.

Simona Halep sits in pole position on the Race, with a sizable lead over the rest of the field. But five of the WTA’s Top 20 will feature at the Premier-level event in Tokyo - which has 470 points on offer for the champion - including Caroline Wozniacki, Naomi Osaka, Caroline Garcia, Karolina Pliskova and Garbine Muguruza, while former Grand Slam champions Sloane Stephens and Victoria Azarenka are also in action.

Meanwhile, Jelena Ostapenko seeks to defend her title in Seoul, and Alize Cornet and Zhang Shuai headline in Guangzhou. Both International-level tournaments offer 280 points to the winner - a big boost for players on the qualifying bubble.
