What a difference 10 months has made for Simona Halep. After her first round loss at the Mutua Madrid Open last May, the 22-year-old Romanian was ranked No.64 and had yet to capture a WTA title. Not only has she collected seven of them since as her ranking has skyrocketed, but she has amassed a WTA-best 57 match wins as of the end of Wednesday's play at the BNP Paribas Open, where she is into yet another semifinal.
