Angelique Kerber and Agnieszka Radwanska are a win away from booking their ticket to Singapore as six players battle for the final four spots in the closest ever race to the WTA Finals.

Kerber & Radwanska One Win Away From Booking Ticket To Singapore
On Saturday, Angelique Kerber (Hong Kong) and Agnieszka Radwanska (Tianjin) both advanced to the finals and can confirm their spots in Singapore by winning the title at their respective events. On Sunday, Kerber will face Jelena Jankovic in the Hong Kong final, while Radwanska will play Danka Kovinic in the final at Tianjin.

With Loss, Venus Eliminated From Top 8 Contention
Jankovic defeated Venus Williams in the semifinals at Hong Kong, 6-4, 7-5. With the loss, Williams can no longer finish among the Top 8 on the Road To Singapore Leaderboard. Williams will hold one of the two alternate positions unless Carla Suárez Navarro reaches the semifinals in Moscow or Karolina Pliskova advances to the final in Moscow.

One Last Chance For Pliskova & Suárez Navarro In Moscow
The Moscow draw features six of the players in contention for the final four spots in Singapore. Both Pliskova and Suárez Navarro will need to capitalize on strong results in Moscow in order to have a chance of finishing among the Top 8. Pliskova will need to win the title in Moscow, while Suárez Navarro will need to at least reach the final to stay in contention for a Top 8 spot.

Pliskova opens with first round match against Alexandra Dulgheru and is in the same quarter as Kerber, with a potential semifinal match-up against Radwanska, the top seed. Pliskova will need to reach the final in order to move into an alternate position.

Suárez Navarro is in the bottom half of the draw and will play Kristina Mladenovic in the first round and would face the winner of Varvara Lepchenko and Margarita Gasparyan. She has a potential quarterfinal match against No.2-seeded Lucie Safarova, with a potential semifinal match against Flavia Pennetta. Suárez Navarro will need to reach the semifinals in order to add any points and have a chance to move into an alternate position.

A loss by both Suárez Navarro and Pliskova prior to the Moscow final would confirm the Top 8 for Singapore.

Doubles Update
Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka have advanced to the final at Linz and moved into the No.9 spot (first alternate) on the Doubles RTS Live Leaderboard. Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears play their semifinal match on Saturday. With a win, they will reach 3280 points, a mark that cannot be surpassed by Hlavackova/Hradecka. That leaves Muguruza/Suárez Navarro as the only team that can pass the American duo. The Moscow doubles sign in deadline is 12pm tournament time.
