June 2017 WTA Player Of The Month Finalists
Petra Kvitova: Kvitova's fairytale comeback hit its zenith at the Aegon Classic in Birmingham. In just her second tournament of 2017, the two-time Wimbledon champion roared to the title, dropping just one set in the final, where she battled past Ashleigh Barty.
Karolina Pliskova: Pliskova's impressive week at the Aegon International in Eastbourne helped put her in pole position to become WTA No.1 after Wimbledon. Winning her third title of the season, the Czech powerhouse survived a tense three-setter against Svetlana Kuznetsova before dispatching former No.1 Caroline Wozniacki in the championship match.
Garbiñe Muguruza: Muguruza became the first Spanish woman to win Wimbledon since Conchita Martinez beat a 37-year-old Martina Navratilova in 1994. With Martinez serving as a temporary coach through the fortnight, Muguruza dismissed a 37-year-old of her own in Venus Williams to capture her second major title, return to the Top 5, and round out the Top 3 on the Porsche Race to Singapore leaderboard.
