LONDON, Great Britain - Heather Watson's excellent form on grass continued as she stunned 18th seed Anastasija Sevastova, 6-0, 6-4, to progress to the third round of Wimbledon.

"I felt that I had a really good start to the match," she said to the media after the match. "I felt really solid out there. I felt good the last week, in particular, and just really continued that. I served well, and hardly made any unforced errors in that first set."

The British wildcard, who reached the semifinals of the Aegon International in Eastbourne, was utterly dominant in the first set, breaking the Latvian's serve with ease, and she wrapped up the bagel in under 20 minutes.

Sevastova, clearly unhappy with her performance, battled back in the second set, managing a break of her own and winning three games in a row to take a 3-1 lead.

But Watson was not to be denied in front of her home crowd, breaking Sevastova once more to secure her place in the third round for the third time.

Afterwards, the Brit told reporters that she would make the most of her downtime by watching some reality TV ("It's easy watching Love Island at the moment - it's so good").

Next up for Watson is Victoria Azarenka, a player whom she admires greatly.

"I think Vika is an incredible player and person," she said. "I really respect how hard she works and how focused she is.

"I look forward to playing her. I know she has only just come back, but I expect her to be playing really well because I know she will have put in the hours and the work. You don't get to where she's got to in her career without being a really good player."

That will mean a change of strategy, but Watson and her coaching team are ready for that.

"I come in with a different game plan because everybody's a different player," she said. "But to do with myself, I'll keep everything the same, my routine, what I'm going to eat, sleep."

Then with a grin, she added: "And I'm going to watch Love Island."
