SINGAPORE - The BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global is set to begin on Sunday, but this week, fans from around the world will get a glimpse at the future of women's tennis with the 2015 WTA Rising Stars Invitational, which will be streamed on WTAFinals.com!
For the second year, the WTA asked fans to pick four WTA Rising Stars, two representing the Asia/Pacific Group, and two from the Rest of World Group. Following a highly successful voting process that saw over 2,000,000 votes cast from 137 countries, Caroline Garcia (FRA), Ons Jabeur (TUN), Zhu Lin (CHN), and Naomi Osaka (JPN) have been selected to participate in the 2015 WTA Rising Stars Invitational.
Set to begin on Thursday, the four will compete in a one group round robin format during the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global. Each WTA Rising Star will go head-to-head, followed by a final match between the two with the best results. Finalists will compete on the same stage as the world's Top 8 women's tennis stars and can be seen participating in clinics and community outreach programs throughout the WTA Finals.

The WTA Rising Stars Invitational event will showcase this next generation of stars competing in an alternative scoring format:
?Best of 3 sets
?Sets are first to 4 games
?Tiebreaker at 4 games all
?Tiebreaker is first to 7 points, must win by 2 points
?No ad scoring (receiver determines side for deciding point)
Players can choose to have their coach courtside for the entirety of the match, where they can utilize the newly launched SAP Tennis Analytics for coaches. Players and coaches can access the SAP Tennis Analytics to find real-time performance data during live match play on a WTA authorized tablet.
All matches at the WTA Rising Stars Invitational will be streamed live on WTAFinals.com and on the WTA Finals app powered by SAP. Held at OCBC Arena at the Singapore Sports Hub, the WTA Rising Stars Invitational is free to the public, making it accessible to all fans.
The WTA Rising Star Invitational begins Thursday evening at 6PM when Zhu Lin takes on Ons Jabeur, followed by Caroline Garcia's first round robin match against Naomi Osaka. Round robin action will continue throughout the weekend until Sunday when the final will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium following women's doubles.
