Career in Review
2019 - Reached first WTA singles final in 2019, defeating Kenin to lift title at Acapulco. Other highlights in were SF runs at Shenzhen and Seoul, and QF showings at Hua Hin, Mallorca and Tianjin. Also in 2019 finished R-Up in doubles at Hua Hin (w/Blinkova). Own three doubles titles, at 2018 Taipei City (w/Duan) and 2015 Kuala Lumpur and Zhuhai (both w/Liang). Contested the main draw of each Grand Slam in a calendar year for the first time in 2019, reaching 2r at both Australian Open and Wimbledon (also made this stage at 2016 and 2018 US Open). Matched best result at WTA Premier Mandatory level by making R16 at 2019 Miami (also reached this stage in 2018 at same event, as qualifier). During Miami run defeated No.5 Svitolina for best win-by-ranking of career (bettering defeat of No.20 Stosur at 2014 Guangzhou).
2018 - First Top 100 season (finishing No.73); SF at Taipei City (l. to Babos); QF at Bucharest (l. to Buzarnescu); reached 4r once and 2r three times (incl. US Open); fell 1r six times (incl. Roland Garros and Wimbledon) and in qualifying four times (incl. Australian Open).
2017 - Missed first half of season due to illness; SF at Nanchang (l. to Hibino); reached 2r twice; fell 1r two times and in qualifying once (incl. US Open); WTA doubles runner-up at Kuala Lumpur (w/Liang); won one WTA 125K Seires doubles title (w/Duan); won two singles titles on ITF Circuit.
