Rybakina in F); broke into Top 50 for first time in October of last year to end year at No. 43 – posted 25-19 main draw record in 2019, entered the year with only 19 main draw wins in her career; Began 2019 season with first main draw appearance at Australian Open (l. Sharapova in 2r); defeated No.8 Stephens in 1r of Washington DC for first career Top 10 win; other 2019 highlights include QF at Rabat (l. Tomljanovic) and 3r at Eastbourne (l. Kerber) and Cincinnati as a qualifier (l. Ka.Pliskova).
