Australia's Ashleigh Barty earned your vote for the WTA's breakout player of the month for September after a banner week in Wuhan.

Ashleigh Barty reached the biggest WTA final of her career at the Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open in September, and for her efforts, you voted her as WTA Breakthrough of the Month.

Barty's week in Wuhan saw her beat four players ranked ahead of her, plus a statement win over fellow wunderkind CiCi Bellis in the first round.

She came from a set down in wins over Agnieszka Radwanska and Karoline Pliskova, and also needed three sets to see off No.5 seed Johanna Konta.

Her semifinal victory over Roland Garros champion Jelena Ostapenko earned her a spot in the first Premier 5 level final of her career, though she ultimately finished runner-up to Caroline Garcia after three grueling sets and nearly three hours of play.

The Aussie nonetheless earned a career-high ranking of No.23, and cracked the Top 20 on the Porsche Race to Singapore leaderboard as a result of her week.
