ZHENGZHOU, China - Home favorite Zheng Saisai raced into the semifinals at the Biyuan Cup Zhengzhou Women's Tennis Open on Friday courtesy of a double bagel victory over Lu Jia-Jing.

The former World No.60 has seen her ranking dip to No.139 after a six-month absence due to injury and is contesting just her fourth tournament since last summer's US Open, but needed just 57 minutes to defeat a compatriot ranked nearly 100 spots below her currently, at World No.234.

Zheng scored her second and third bagel sets of the week, having won the decider of her second round match against Liu Fangzhou to love on Wednesday, and also won her third straight match against a compatriot to book her sport in the last four.

She previously upset No.2 seed Peng Shuai in the first round, having last contested a pair of ITF Circuit events in Japan.

Three Chinese players will feature in Saturday's semifinal matches, as No.4 seed Wang Yafan and unseeded Xinyun Han also advanced with straight-set victories.

Han dropped just three games to end the run of American Danielle Lao, 6-1, 6-2, while Wang had the toughest match of the trio, but eventually defeated No.8 seeded compatriot Zhu Lin, 6-4, 7-6(5).

Rounding out the quartet is No.6 seed and former US Open semifinalist Yanina Wickmayer, who dropped just four games in defeating qualifier Mai Minokoshi, 6-1, 6-3.

The former World No.12 has surrendered just 15 games in six sets played this week, with her toughest match being a 6-3, 6-4 first-round victory over two-time Grand Slam finalist and former World No.2 Vera Zvonareva.

Wang pulled double-duty after winning her singles match to begin Friday's play, as she and partner Duan Ying-Ying, the No.4 seeds in the doubles draw, held off a charge from Han and Zvonareva, 6-1, 6-7(4), 10-4 to reach the doubles final.
