MATCH POINTS

Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strycova won both of the previous meetings with Gabriela Dabrowski and Xu Yifan, en route to titles at Indian Wells last year and Madrid earlier in 2019.

Dabrowski and Xu accounted for defending champions Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova in this year's semifinals.

Hsieh and Strycova are yet to drop a set at this year's tournament, seeking to emulate Serena and Venus Williams, who won the title without dropping a single set in 2009. Dabrowski and Xu have lost just one set en route to today's showpiece.

Both pairs are making their Grand Slam debuts, while Strycova will rise to Doubles No.1 if she helps win the title today - ending the five-week reign of Kristina Mladenovic. The Czech would become the 43rd woman to reach top spot, and seventh from her country.

Two of the last four Doubles finals at Wimbledon have gone to three sets.

Jelena Ostapenko's previous Doubles final came at the Qatar Ladies Open last year, when she partnered Dabrowski to victory against Andreja Klepac and María José Martínez Sánchez. She has also won the St.Petersburg Ladies Trophy alongside Alicja Rosolska and the Stuttgart Open with Raquel Atawo, both in 2017.

Latisha Chan has won two of her previous three Slam finals, winning the French Open alongside Ivan Dodig both last summer and this. She also lost the Australian Open showpiece in 2011, alongside Paul Hanley.
