Ashleigh Barty and Caroline Garcia both marked career-best results in Wuhan, and their efforts earned them a big leap on the Porsche Race to Singapore Leaderboard.

Caroline Garcia and Ashleigh Barty both scored career-best results to reach their first-ever Premier 5 final at the Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open last week, which saw the Frenchwoman lift the biggest trophy of her career.

Barty defeated three Top 10 opponents en route to the final, while Garcia took home the biggest title won by a French woman since 2013.

As a result, they’ve moved into the FastLane on the Porsche Race to Singapore Leaderboard, with Garcia leaping to the No.10 spot and Barty - who’s already qualified for the doubles competition at the WTA Finals - landing at No.18.
