Aleksandra KRUNIC (SRB) v Kirsten FLIPKENS (BEL)
Krunic and Flipkens have met only once before - in a Fed Cup rubber in 2016. The Serbian came through in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6(8) - but that was on clay.
Flipkens was doubles champion here last year - but had to retire from this year's final, partnering Kiki Bertens as the tournament's second seeds, while level 3-3 in the first set with Elise Mertens and Demi Schuurs.
The Belgian was also runner-up in the singles competition back in 2013, losing in the final to Simona Halep.
Krunic reached her career high ranking of World No.45 at the start of this year, coming off a great set of results which included defeating Garbiñe Muguruza in Brisbane.
