MATCH FACTS

Johanna Larsson won the only previous meeting with second seed Kiki Bertens, winning in straight sets in Monterrey inside an hour in 2015.

Kiki Bertens and Tereza Martincova are the only two players not to have dropped a set in this year's tournament.

German qualifier Antonia Lottner has been taken to three sets in both her matches this week.

The only previous meeting of Sara Sorribes Tormo and Tamara Korpatsch came in Gstaad last year, at the qualifying stage. The Spaniard prevailed, dropping just two games in a 6-1, 6-1 success.

Carina Witthoeft is yet to taste success against Anett Kontaveit, losing to the Estonian in both 2011 and earlier this year, in 's-Hertogenbosch.

Tereza Martincova hopes for a repeat of her only previous meeting with Antonia Lottner, which she won in Grado two years ago.
