WASHINGTON, DC, USA -- Scrambling, drop shots, lobs and overheads - this rally had it all.

Top seed Simona Halep might've advanced to the quarterfinals on a hot day at the Citi Open on Thursday with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Mariana Duque-Mariño, but it was the Colombian who staked her claim to one of the points of the year in the second set.

After managing to get the second set back on serve from 5-1 down, Duque-Mariño was attempting to tie the second set at 5-5 when she came up with the shot of the day at 0-30 - though she was unable to hold off Halep's charge for much longer en route to losing the second set.
