Coached by Jason Parker (since age 11) ... Father was in the army; mother was a homemaker; also has a half brother and sister (much older) ... Born in Germany (father was working there); moved to US when she was young ... Started playing at age 8 ... Strengths are athleticism and variety; favorite surface is hard ... Developed a wrist injury from age 15/16 and played with it for a few years; had surgery at age 19 and was really able to begin dedicating herself ... Tennis idols were Roger Federer and David Nalbandian ... Best tennis memory is winning first Grand Slam match at 2012 Australian Open; favorite tournament is Australian Open.
