2000 - As a part-time secretary at her tennis club, Biarritz Olympique, decided in Oct., at age 25, to take a one-year sabbatical to concentrate on tennis
2001 - At age 26, playing full time on pro circuit for first time, won five ITF titles, made debut on WTA Tour and played in first Grand Slam at Roland Garros; in first event, ITF/Gelos-FRA, started in pre-qualifying and won nine straight matches to win the tournament, vaulting ranking from No. 679 to No. 381; as a qualifying WC at her debut WTA Tour event, reached the SF in Strasbourg with wins over No. 7 seed Tanasugarn, compatriot Pitkowski and world No. 40 Sugiyama, earning a WC into the main draw of Roland Garros where she fell in the 1r to world No. 10 Dementieva; ranking jumped from No. 373 at Strasbourg to No. 178 after Roland Garros; won four ITF events in three months, the first two consecutively
2002 - In debut Australian Open, fell to world No. 72 Lamade in 1r; reached QF at Bogota; made Wimbledon debut at age 27, falling 1r to former champion C.
