2007 - Season of two halves sandwiched around two-month lay-off in spring; went 10-4 to start, best results being SF at Hobart (l. to Chakvetadze) and Pattaya City (l. to Dulko) and QF at Bangalore; withdrew before Doha 2r w/right knee injury; underwent right knee surgery on March 2 and withdrew from Indian Wells, Miami, Amelia Island and Berlin (missing 10 weeks in total); went 20-15 rest of season, best results being runner-up finish at Stanford (l. to Chakvetadze in final), SF at Cincinnati (l. to Chakvetadze) and QF twice, at San Diego and Tokyo [Japan Open]; having dipped to No.70 in time since, rose back and bettered previous career-high of No.31 (set new career-high No.27 on August 27); withdrew from Kolkata and Seoul w/right wrist injury and Linz and Québec City w/abdominal strain; won four WTA doubles titles.

Wimbledon - l. to Martínez Sánchez 60 46 97; had 4mp - 1mp at 5-4 and 3mp at 6-5); fell 1r three times (incl.
