Budapest: Lucky loser Timofeeva wins title in WTA main-draw debut
Maria Timofeeva topped Kateryna Baindl 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 to win the Hungarian Grand Prix title. The 19-year-old is the first lucky loser to win a WTA title since Coco Gauff in 2019, and the first player to win the title in her WTA main-draw debut since Olga Danilovic in 2018.
