Cirstea claims third straight win over Garcia in Abu Dhabi opener
Sorana Cirstea recovered from losing the first set from 4-1 (and two set points) up to defeat Caroline Garcia in three sets in the first round of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open. Having lost her first two matches with the Frenchwoman (in 2017 and 2019), Cirstea has now won the past three (all since 2023).
