Preston, 18, overcomes Frech in three sets for first tour-level win
Fresh off reaching her first WTA 125 final in Puerto Vallarta, wild card Taylah Preston notched her first tour-level victory with a three-set defeat of Magdalena Frech in the first round of the San Diego Open. The result was also the 18-year-old Australian's first Top 50 win.
