Coaching Career Highlights:   

  • Began coaching Maria Sakkari at Indian Wells 2024
  • Witt began working with Jessica Pegula in 2019 
  • Pegula enjoyed immediate results after taking on Witt, taking home a singles title in Washington DC (2019) and reaching the finals of Auckland (2020) 
  • Pegula reached her first slam quarterfinal at the Australian Open in 2021, and broke into the Top 20 for the first time
  • In 2022, Witt coached Pegula to her first appearance at the WTA Finals, a second title at Guadalajara 1000, a runner-up appearance at Madrid (l. Jabeur), and three slam quarterfinal appearances (Australian Open, Roland Garros, US Open)
  • Pegula also won three titles with doubles partner Coco Gauff in 2022 (Doha, Toronto, and San Diego)
  • Due to her success in 2022, Pegula reached career-high rankings in singles (No.3) and doubles (No. 6)
  • In 2023, Pegula and Witt won two titles at Montreal and Seoul, en route to a Top 5 finish and another trip to the WTA Finals
  • Before Pegula, Witt coached Venus Williams for 10 years
  • Under Witt’s guidance, Venus took home many WTA and Grand Slam singles titles, including Wimbledon, and the WTA Finals (2008), Dubai, Acapulco (2009), Dubai, Acapulco (2010), Luxembourg (2012), Dubai (2014), Auckland, Wuhan, Zuhai (2015), and Kaohsiung (2016)
  • Venus achieved a WTA world number 2 singles ranking and number 1 doubles ranking
