Caroline Garcia reached the semifinals of the Open 6ème Sens - Métropole de Lyon, her hometown event, for the first time, after coming from 4-1 down in the third set to defeat No.7 seed Alison Van Uytvanck. The Belgian had defeated Garcia at the same stage in 2020.
