Hontama bounces back vs. Hartono to make first WTA semifinal
Wild card Mai Hontama recovered after losing the first set from 5-3 and two set points up to defeat qualifier Arianne Hartono in the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships. The result put the Japanese 24-year-old into her first WTA semifinal and avenged a loss to Hartono three weeks previously in US Open qualifying.
