Returning Osaka fends off Korpatsch in Brisbane opener
Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka bested Tamara Korpatsch 6-3, 7-6(9) in their first-round clash at the Brisbane International. It was Osaka's first match on tour since September of 2022.
