Former champion Kudermetova beats Charleston native Rogers in second round
No.9 seed Veronika Kudermetova, who won the Credit One Charleston Open title in 2021, returned to the Round of 16 with a 7-6(5), 6-4 victory over Charleston's own Shelby Rogers.
